Beverly Edwards

Beverly Edwards, 89, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Funeral services entrusted to Boston-Hill Funeral & Cremation Service. 

Beverly Edwards was born September 3, 1936, in Bentonia, MS. Looking for adventure, Beverly moved to Anchorage, AK where she experienced so much. She even got a chance to live in a small Alaskan Community in McGrath, AK.

Beverly was team mom to the Abbott-O-Rabbit baseball and softball organization. There is a field located on the corner of O'Malley and Lake Otis named in the Edwards' name. Beverly and family spent many weekends there, cheering their team to victory.

Beverly loved raising her 4 children in the Last Frontier. She loved it so much that she stayed for 60 years of adventure in Alaska before moving to Stone Mountain, GA. She lived in Stone Mountain since her retirement.

Beverly loved children and worked with students until she reached 82 years old. She enjoyed visiting and looking after her grand children and great-grandchildren. Beverly always said children kept her young and agile.

Beverly touched many live. Many people loved her caring and loving nature.

Beverly is survived by her four children, Belinda D. Bennett, Sylvia Y. Edwards, Wilfreda J. Edwards, and Willie J. Edwards Jr and three grandchildren, Jarone B. Williams, Chontell M. Caver, and Taliyah

M. Edwards, her great grandchildren, Analiyah N. Summers, Kai M. Summers, and Zamir D. Robinson and two brothers, Ira J. Bennett Jr and Hubert D. Bennett both of Georgia.
