Obituary for Franklin Deverchi (Bunchey) Jamison

Franklin Deverchi Jamison was born on January 11, 1953 to parents Thomas and Alva Cole of Anniston, AL. He attended Cobb Avenue High School in Anniston, AL. Franklin; “Bunchey” to his friends, accepted Christ at an early age. He later would serve as church drummer for several different churches throughout the years.

He met his first love, Wanda Smith (Whitley), in high school and though they never married they were blessed with two children; Dwaine Maxwell Smith, Decatur, GA; and Dr. Tamorie LaShun Smith (Randy Hudson), Phenix City, AL.

Frank would later go on to marry Sharon Childs, Columbus, GA; on February 7, 1981. To this union was born one child; Christopher John-Thomas Jamison (Terranesha Young), Apopka, FL.

Frank was a car salesman by trade but his true passion was music. A self- taught musician he played many instruments. He was especially a skilled drummer and keyboard player. He showcased his skills by performing with different bands through the years. Notably, he was a member of the band Hotline in the 1990’s.

Unfortunately, in later years Frank’s health declined and he was moved to reside for his remaining years at Pruitt Health Nursing Facility until his death.
