Geneva Willis

Geneva Willis, 97, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Geneva Willis, known among family and friends as G.G. was born on April 16, 1928 in Jackson, Mississippi. She is the last remaining sibling that included three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by two sons, Ellis and Anthony, along with many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Geneva went on to work in the counseling department at Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Michigan where it didn’t take long for her to earn the love and respect of the students there. She was always active in the church but was known for her remarkable voice where she most often sang lead. She liked to bowl but her biggest love and where she found her peace was on the fish bank. She never drank alcohol but was always the life of the party and was generous to a fault. On March 17, 2026 God whispered that it was time for her to begin her new journey, with all of her remaining family and friends saying goodbye with tears of sorrow and joy being happy to have known her.
