James Smith passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, at the age of 51, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 25,1974 in Miami Florida to Gail Knight. He was a cherished Son,Father, Older brother and proud grandfather. James grew up in Miami Dade, developing a lifelong passion for rapping. He dedicated 3 years as a truck driver, amongst many other career opportunities, known for his humor, hard work, poetry, and musical wit. More than his accomplishments, James will be remembered for his unconditional support, life lessons, jokes, poetic lyrics, antics for giving everyone his own personal nickname, and sarcastic nature. He taught his children the importance of hard work, values, and family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the memories he created. He is survived by his mother Gail Knight, children; Jakieeya Brown (Tyquavius Brown), Jakirra Smith, and Jacarri Smith to whom he have with Quiteka Moreland; grandson River Smith; siblings Alphonique Knight (Keniesha Brown), and Shanika Knight; uncles Earnest Knight and Dwayne Knight; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by brother Rashad Jackson, aunt Valeah Knight. James will greatly missed by all his loved ones. May he be accepted into the gates of heaven for his eternal life.
