Jermaine Leon Stubblefield Jr., 27, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Jermaine Leon Stubblefield Jr. was born in the early morning of March 18, 1999 in Denver, Colorado. His mother Shannon Snead and his aunt Janel Greenwood fell in love at first sight. Later that day his father Jermaine Leon Stubblefield Sr. felt the same way. As he grew, he quickly earned the nickname JJ. Little did the world know there was a kind, gentle, and loyal man in the making.
Jermaine is the oldest child to both of his parents, the first boy to bless our bloodlines. Being the oldest was never a responsibility Jermaine strayed away from, even with age gaps up to 19 years. He was ALWAYS family oriented and was dedicated to making connections with all of his siblings prevailing against distance.
He spent the beginning of his youth in Baltimore Maryland where he was instantly adored by his aunts and uncles from his mom's side of the family. His adolescent years where he calls home is here in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Lakeside High School.
He was an extremely hard worker and spent the most time in his youthful years in food services.
The most memorable job he took was at Papa John's pizza where he was met with unwavering loyalty and even found love. He met his lover, the mother of his children Darquisa Dale (Shantell) there. From that point on, they were inseparable and paved their way through the world together in their early 20's.
In October of 2022 Jermaine ecstatically welcomed his first child Lianna Stubblefield and shortly after in December of 2023, they welcomed their 2nd child Cairo Stubblefield.
Jermaine was also a doting stepfather to Shantell's first daughter Layla. So, what started as a blended family of 3 slowly and smoothly turned into a family of 5. With Jermaine being a gentle and nurturing soul, he also grew to love many of his friends' children as his own.
Jermaine was a self-employed and self-established entrepreneur. Always turning his creativity into revenue to be the natural provider he is.
Jermaine had always suffered from an intense asthmatic condition since birth. He'd had very few intense episodes throughout his life. But during the early hours of morning of March 28th, 2026, he had one of his worst attacks ever and shortly after on the Tuesday of March 31st, he passed away. God added another angel to his collection in the sky that day.
Jermaine leaves behind a family of 4 in which he lived for until his last breath. He leaves behind his mother Shannon Snead and her daughters Malyah Stubblefield and Lyrik Wilson. As well as all of his father's children who he adored beyond distance and lastly, he leaves behind a village of friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and anyone who personally got to experience his gleeful smile, warm hugs, and his extraordinary one-of-a-kind spirit. #longliveJJ
