Marcus Albert Thomas Ricketts passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Marcus Albert Thomas Ricketts, age 43, of Decatur, GA, passed away peacefully at Emory Decatur Hospital with his best friend Tommy Richardson at his side on March 26, 2025. Born in Lewes, DE, on Friday, March 26, 1982, he was the youngest child of the late Jeanette Davis Bradley and Michael Ricketts.

Marcus attended Sussex Central High School prior to receiving his diploma from James H. Groves. He then enrolled in the cosmetology program at The Delmarva Cosmetology Academy, where he pursued his passion as a hairstylist and barber. Marcus moved to Atlanta GA in 2015 he was passionate and had many hobbies, including traveling, writing, music, and fashion. He loved spending time with his friends and family, watching movies, and playing board games (Parcheesi). He was very loving, outspoken, and the life of the party.

In addition to his mother, Marcus was preceded in death by his grandmother Lorraine Rue and Aunt Eunice Oliver.

He is survived by brother Michael Ricketts of Delaware, sister Casinia Ricketts Gaines (Tremayne) of Delaware, and numerous nieces and nephews.
