Michael Anthony Milton, 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Michael Anthony Milton affectionately known as “Lil-Bree” was born July 18, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Lois Milton White and Gaston Milton. He grew up in the Thomasville Heights community, where he attended Fulton High School. He was an outstanding star player on the Varsity basketball team, which earned him a scholarship to play at Albany State University. He later went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tennessee State University. Michael’s joy was truly playing basketball and one of his sons and a grandson followed in his footsteps. The son currently coaches at the grandson’s high school.
Michael was married to the late Joans Riven. During his marriage, he gave his life to Christ. Michael weathered many storms and trials in his life. On July 23, 2025, he went on to be with the Lord after a courageous fight against a long illness. Michael was preceded in death, by his son Lil-Bree Milton. Michael leaves to cherish his legacy, his children Kaysha Jackson, Shonte Jackson, Kiambra Milton, Ashley Lemons and Mario Lemons, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one aunt, Vera Upshaw. Michael leaves his siblings, Patricia Beals, Annie Lois Whitlock, Robert Lewis White (Helen) and Wanda Denise White Barney. Michael also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
