Dr. Nancy Eke was born on August 26, 1954 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic to Ana Sofia Francisco and Andres Gabriel, who raised her with love, strength, and unwavering support. From a young age, she displayed a vibrant spirit, a kind heart, and a natural ability to bring joy to those around her.

Whether it was her smile, her caring nature, or her ability to turn any moment into a cherished memory, she was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She graduated high school at Evangelical School Miguel Limardo, where she excelled academically. She then attended Universidad Central del Este Medical School where she finished her studies as a medical doctor. Her dedication and passion left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends . A hardworking and ambitious individual, she pursued a career in Medicine in the Dominican Republic before coming to the United States. In the United States she continued her career as a caregiver to many. She was deeply committed to her work, always striving to make a difference and caring for others.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Eke was a woman of many passions. She found joy in cooking, playing dominoes, thrift shopping, baseball, church, and traveling the world. Whether she was cooking a Sunday dinner, spending time with family, or exploring new destinations, she embraced every experience with enthusiasm and love.

More than anything, Dr. Eke was devoted to her family and friends. She cherished her relationships and was a source of strength, and unwavering support to those who needed her. Throughout the years, Dr. Eke was always there for her family, friends and for the needy offering help with an open hand. Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds, and she took great pride in being a loyal daughter, mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her daughter Nwanneka Eke, grandchildren Serenity and Camilo, sister Noemi Gabriel Francisco, and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Dr. Richard Eke, her son Richard Ngozi Eke, her parents, Ana Sofia Francisco and Andres Gabriel, additionally her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Though the pain of her loss is overwhelming, we find solace in the memories she left behind.
