Ulae Johnson Williams, 74, passed away on May 12, 2025, in the city she loved, Atlanta. She was not only a sister, 2nd mother, mother, wife, or grandmother, but a role model, singer, homemaker, teacher, storyteller, and survivor. She was born a Johnson on December 13, 1950, in Brunswick, GA to Geneva and Willie E. Johnson, who gave her the lovely name Ulae. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah (Elisha) P. Williams, three of her siblings (W. Yvonne and Suzanna) and her parents. She was mother to three girls (Priscilla, LaToya, Ellyssia), and one boy (Robert), as well as grandmother to a handful of rugrats (Rneshia, Quovadis, Jataveous, Panadora, Ayanna and Kaiden) that she loved and disciplined like her own... but she was far more lenient with them than us. She also leaves her siblings (Condie, Sammie, Lovell, Mercy, Venya, Harriett, Willie E. Jr, Genoa, Terry, Teresa and James), many nieces and nephews (grands to boot) to carry on in her absence.  

Young or old, sister or brother, we all heard her beautiful, soulful voice when she sang or hummed songs of her own making. She did this whenever she worked, studied, did our hair, or even when she was troubled or sad. The stories she told were lessons she had learned in life and memories she held dear, many of which centered around her husband. 

May her beautiful voice and laughter always resonate in our hearts.

Cremation entrusted to Boston's Funeral & Cremation Service.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 10, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment carried out & hosted by Relihan Funeral Home: 164 S Main St, Pearson, GA 31642
