Vera Rogers, age 95, loving mother of eight, passed away on the evening of February 21st following a short illness. Vera was born July 17, 1930, in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up with five siblings and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Vera was a loving, supportive, and caring woman. She was very independent and resilient, and she incorporated that into a life well lived.
In her free time, Vera loved spending time with family, traveling across the country with friends, going to casinos, and savoring ice cream. She will be greatly missed by her family and especially her six surviving children: Sandra, Timothy, Joan, Yolanda, Patrice, and Neal, who adore her with all their hearts. Goodbye to a great woman, a wonderful mother, and bless your journey home.
"... For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands...” -Psalm 91:11-12
Vera is survived by 3 sons, 3 daughters, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. There will be a service for those who would like to say their last goodbye to Vera on February 28, 2026, at 1pm at Boston Hill-Funeral Home, 5644 Memorial Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083.
